I feel worn out. Not tired, just physically uncomfortable. I feel itchy, my muscles ache, my hands are dry and cracked. I took a shower and I think I might take another one. I should get some sleep. Tomorrow I am going to Seattle to meet a dude who is selling a bass. Looks like a good deal. I got my garage cleaned up and now I feel justified in buying more stuff. Plus I have thought about buying a bass for years now and it's time.
I miss Portland. I wish my friends would visit me. I can't wait until end of July for Horning's. I am so glad that we get to go back there. I knew when I left that place that my life had changed dramatically and I was SO RIGHT. Scary how different it all is. Mostly outside stuff. Different relationship, kids, location. Is the exciting stuff about festivals and community gone? I suppose we'll see at the end of July. I have this feeling that when we get down to the grounds there will be a lot of excitement and smiles and with or without peak experience involved, there will be plenty to celebrate. I am curious if Peak will be involved. No indication that they will be but Michael seems to think so.
So the question remains from my last post and there's no one special that I can think of. I'd love to invent a female with Teri Hatcher's looks and the personality of my friend Emily from camp. That would be an amazing combination. If more people could be invited I would add Bob Dylan, The Derek Trucks Band, Katie Holmes, Minnie Driver, Sharon Stone, Stevie Nicks (all of these women in their prime) Martin Sheen, Phil Lynott, Joan Osborne, Ozzy Ozbourne, George Harrison, Norah Jones, Chris Farley... other friends and family also. Making this list makes me realize how motivated I am by music, sex, and laughter. The only person on the whole list that isn't funny and I don't want to have sex with or listen to their music is Martin Sheen. I just heard he has been arrested many times and he sounds like an interesting guy. I guess he could be funny, I have no clue.
So a new question. What is on the menu at this soiree? Pretty much the same stuff I eat when I go to Sushi Takahashi is perfect for me. Maybe roast beef poboys from Parasols or Casa di Palermo in New Orleans. Also available would be the finest coffees and espresso drinks. For dessert, my Uncle Rob's cream puffs.
